Most of all,I can't wipe out the Picture of Prayer of all member's of B-24 Liberator"Lonesome Polecat" leaded by Chaplain Capt.James A.Burris. I don't Knowtheir outcome. But I am still longing for their Home coming!I can't forget expression of each crews from this "GreatPicture!.Generally Air Battle over the Europe were morecrucial and dramatic scenes than Pacific Theater. If I point out the major fault, many photoes were re-editted from B-17Flying fortress from "Flying Fortress"byEdward Jablonski,1965 and B-24 Liberator from"Log of Liberators"by Steve Biedesall,1973. Anyway ,this book is recommendable, excellent Photoes. The air war over occupied Europe and Nazi Germany is illustrated from the unique and dramatic point of view of gun cameras mounted on Allied aircraft. The story begins as American bombers fall prey to Nazi flak and fighters and continues through the recapture of European skies as seen from American P-51 Mustangs and P-47 Thunderbolts and British Spitfires. Also depicted are breathtaking images of ground strafings and crews coaxing crippled bombers into perilous belly landings. The Germans threw everything they could think of at the bombers.
