This glossary contains terms on the maintenance of infrastructure in urban areas and service delivery systems in developing countries and the related training of staff in the organizations concerned. It has been prepared because a number of the basic terms and concepts in the field of maintenance have no clear and unambiguous definition and because they are not normally found in dictionaries. A number of specialist terms in the technical fields concerned have also been included for ease of reference.
