Synthesis of the development of the contemporary Guardia Nacional (National Guard) in Mexico and its transformation of Public Security, including the first study of its legal implications for Use of Force in Mexican security corporations.The Mexican Guardia Nacional (National Guard) has had a long and troubled development, since its inception as a colonial militia, its transformation into a citizen army, its being relegated to reservist status, and the new (2019) institution, a gendarmerie with military training to stranghten Public Security.
