In a world where everyone wears their soulmate’s name written on their skin, asking someone to reveal their mark is considered a highly personal question. That doesn’t stop the hockey fans from going crazy when Connor Lewis is snapped with his soulmate’s name in full view. Every Ashley in the area is just wild to convince him that she’s the one, and all Connor wants to do is focus on his game... Ashley Walton has never cared to seek out a soulmate. She prefers relationships based on something real. When Connor asks if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend, until the media frenzy calms down, Ashley’s more interested in the benefits it’ll bring to her Master’s thesis in PR than she is in Connor. Everything about their ‘relationship’ is a show staged for the press, but they’re having so much fun together that it’s easy to forget they’re not soulmates, and that Ashley needs to leave town soon for her dream job thousands of miles away. The closer Ashley and Connor get to one another, the further they’re straying from their carefully constructed game plan, and that’s bound to get them into some kind of trouble!
