However, it is the neurosurgeon who should care for the functional rehabilitation of patients who are disabled by movement disorders, spasticity, epilepsy, pain, and disorders of the vegetative state as they suffer from acute or chronic central nervous system, spinal cord and peripheral nerve lesions.
