The two FORS (Focal Reducer Spectrograph) instruments for the ESO VLT are focal reducer cameras which can be used for imaging, low-resolution longs-lit spectroscopy and multiple object spectroscopy (MOS) in the wavelength range 330 to 1100 nm.
