The authors' objectives were, in my view, fully achieved and, in my personal opinion, are valid. Those are worthy objectives fully achieved by the authors, who are credible authorities in the field. Features: Twenty-eight authors contribute sixteen chapters to this book. The chapters mostly report the happy marriage between science and clinical medicine. In those, the interaction is productive, suggesting an adventure never before experienced in the history of neurosurgery. It is an pleasurable, well-referenced, and well-illustrated read that justifies the steep price of the book. It is a worthwhile investment, however.
