One distinct feature is an alphabetical list of accepted family names in this dictionary with their equivalents in Bentham & Hooker's Genera Plantarum and Engler's Syllabus. The Flora Europaea, originally published between 1964 and 1980, explores the synthesis of all the national and regional Floras of Europe. The fifth and final volume covers the Monocotyledons.
