Annotation The OECD's economic survey of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia considers a range of issues including: an overview of its economic decline; recent macroeconomic developments and policy challenges; small businesses and entrepreneurship; privatisation policy; trade and competitiveness. The 1990s was a decade of economic decline, due to the war in the region and international economic sanctions imposed. Serbia and Montenegro have now developed a programme of far-reaching economic reforms, but face the challenges of implementation.
