The next chapter covers the application range and limitations of the Eurocode. The core of the book explains the Eurocode guidelines on fatigue verification in the areas of applied stress range, fatigue strength of details, fatigue design strategies, and damage equivalent factors. For each of these guidelines, theoretical background is given, followed by an explanation of the code prescriptions and applications to different design examples. The book's final chapter deals with steel selection. Appendices offer fatigue tables, standards for steel construction, and tables of maximum permissible thickness values. There is no subject index.
