The intention of this book is to help everybody who is interested in reaching a »reading ability« of texts written in the Old Turkish runes. Informations about the historical background of the stone monuments are included as well as a short grammar which illustrates individual elements of the texts in the reading section. The examples are choosen out of Köl Tegin, Tonyukuk, Tenissey and Terhin inscriptions.
