Managed by the Institute for Ecclesiastical Law and Rhenish Church History at the University of Cologne Faculty of Law, the collection __Decisions in Church Matters since 1946__ includes case law from civil courts regarding general religious law and the relationship between church and state. It is the only compilation of its kind in the German-speaking world. The series Decisions in Church Cases since 1946 (KirchE) publishes judgments rendered by public courts in the Federal Republic of Germany with regard to the relationship of church and state and other problem areas characterized by religious interests. Since its founding in 1963, the series has been published in collaboration with the University of Cologne's Institute for Church Law and the Legal History of the Rhenish Church

Die vom Institut für Kirchenrecht und rheinische Kirchenrechtsgeschichte an der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität zu Köln betreute Sammlung "Entscheidungen in Kirchensachen seit 1946" bietet die Judikatur staatlicher Gerichte zum allgemeinen Religionsrecht und zum Verhältnis von Kirche und Staat und ist die einzige ihrer Art im deutschsprachigen Raum.

["Rulings in Ecclesiastical Matters Since 1946"] The collection of rulings publishes the administration of justice by governmental courts in the Federal Republic of Germany pertaining to the relationship of church and state, and also regarding further problems which are characterized by the relevance of religious concerns.
