That the Orthodox Church has any interest in mission work, let alone a developed missiology, may come as a new idea to many. Some of the opposition to the integration of the International Missionary Council and the World Council of Churches revolved around the supposed indifference and hostility of the orthodox to mission. What is needed now is a fuller understanding of the Orthodox Church's contribution. This study is an attempt to bring together and systematize Orthodox missiology.
