Dynamics, Control, and Flying Qualities of VSTOL Aircraft (Aiaa Education Series)

معرفی کتاب «دینامیک، کنترل و ویژگی‌های پرواز هواپیماهای VSTOL (سری آموزشی AIAA)» (با عنوان لاتین Dynamics, Control, and Flying Qualities of VSTOL Aircraft (Aiaa Education Series)) نوشتهٔ James A. Franklin، منتشرشده توسط نشر American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) در سال 2002. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.

This text presents the principles of dynamics and control for vertical and short take-off and landing (V/STOL) aircraft. The first book of its kind, it is intended for graduate students and professionals in aeronautics who have knowledge of linear systems analysis, aircraft static, and dynamic stability and control. The text begins with a discussion of V/STOL aircraft operations, moving on to control strategies, equations of motion, longitudinal and lateral-directional flying qualities in both hover and forward flight, wind and turbulence responses, and control augmentation and cockpit displays. Specific examples of the YAV-8B Harrier and XV-15 Tilt Rotor aircraft are used to illustrate actual V/STOL dynamic and control characteristics. - Data and information appearing in this book are for informational purposes only. About the Author:

Franklin leads research on powered-lift flight dynamics within the Flight Control and Cockpit Integration Branch at NASA Ames Research Center. He specializes in the investigation of flying qualities, flight controls and displays, and operating procedures for vertical and short takeoff and landing aircraft. He earned his BS and MS from the University of Kansas, and his MSE and PhD from Princeton University.
