Death or Glory

Overview: The adventures of Commissar Cain, his malodorous aide Jurgen, and the 296th Valhallans have proved great favourites among Black Library fans. Cain is considered to be a hero of the Imperium, and is praised for his deeds of courage in the thick of battle. However, Cain wants only a safe little spot and a small workload – to live an easy life. But, somehow, Cain always manages to find himself in dangerous military engagements, and is forced to save his own hide – which tends to further inflate his legendary reputation. Yet again, reluctant hero Commissar Cain is catapulted into glory. Escaping from a disastrous space battle, the commissar and his malodorous sidekick Jurgen crash-land behind enemy lines. The only way out is to round up what few troops they can find, and fight their way back to the safety of the Imperial lines. Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of barbaric alien orks stand in their way!
