De enciclopedia a florilegio: la transmisión de los libros V i VI del Speculum doctrinale de Vicente de Beauvais

The purpose of this study “De enciclopedia a florilegio: la transmisión de los libros V y VI del Speculum doctrinale de Vicente de Beauvais” is to analyze the fifth and sixth books of Vincent of Beauvais' Speculum doctrinale and their transmission within the genres of encyclopedia and florilegium. The thesis also offers a critical edition of the moral florilegium created from these two books and known as Flores philosophorum et poetarum. This work aims to achieve the following objectives: first, to provide a comprehensive study of the fifth and sixth books of the Speculum doctrinale and their transmission within the genre of the encyclopedia. Then, to show the evolution of these two books from the encyclopedic genre to that of the florilegium. Finally, to edit the text of the Flores philosophorum poetarum.
