From the basic pure interceptor, Mirage F1, the Dassault company developed two specialized versions, one for all-weather low altitude reconnaissance, named F-1CR and intended to replace the Mirage IIIR and the other designed for tactical attack, named F-1CT, which entered service as a successor to the Mirage IIIE.
