Daddies

A photographic celebration of daddies depicts the warmth of a father's embrace, daddies and babies at play, and the joy of old, young, black, and white dads. This photo-essay visualizes the deep emotions shared by children and dads of all sizes, shapes, and ethnic backgrounds. The dads appear with their youngsters, from tiny babies to preteens, holding, hugging, teaching and learning, and taking outings. The book finishes by reversing the roles, showing what dads need from their offspring - hugs, kisses, smiles, tickles, and "I love you." The black-and-white photographs lovingly and dramatically capture the loyalty, devotion, and joy of this special relationship. Together with the text, they celebrate all that makes a father so special, and all that makes a special father a daddy.
