Spectrum File No.2: Spin-off novel, based on Gerry Anderson's 'Captain Scarlet' tv series, set in the year 2067. Published by Armada, a paperback imprint of May Fair Books Ltd. This is the 2nd of three original novels written by John Theydon (a pen-name for John W Jennison), based on the British science fiction television series. In this second novel, the Mysterons continue to take their revenge for Spectrum's destruction of their Martian Complex. The world's most advanced and most deadly submarine disappears. Top secret Thermic power stations at Rio de Janeiro and Sydney are destroyed within hours. And the Mysterons threaten to devastate Earth's greatest nation. Another battle of nerves is waged on Earth by the Mysterons, as Spectrum goes into action to avert the biggest disaster of all time. The television show was made in 1967, by ATV/ITC for Lew Grade (later Lord Grade), in Supermarionation, on film and in colour. It aired on the commercial channel.
