Taking a break from moonstones and the elements, Evan, his twin sister Samantha, and their friends spend their summer break at Quela, a place known for its ruins, glyphs, and secrets. However, soon they realize Quela has issues: the rotting bodies of dogs are attacking the villagers, and once bitten, the people begin to fall under the control of an ancient monster at nighttime. No one is safe.
