The first collection of the increasingly popular comic strip that features a rambunctious 6-year-old boy and his stuffed tiger who comes charmingly to life. World On Our Shoulders is a program developed by the University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Education Department and is geared toward children in grades 4 to 6. Each kit is designed to focus on a single mental health, social justice or relationship issue. These kits are to be used as catalysts to begin conversations within families or classrooms about issues that children may find difficult to discuss. The program is funded by the Chinook Arch Regional Library System

A funny yet bittersweet look at one of the most intelligent comic strips ever to grace the pages of newspapers. After providing a detailed and fascinating look at the impact of newspapers, syndicates, and editors on a comic strip, Watterson turns his focus toward the battle to not have "Calvin and Hobbes" merchandised in the form of T-shirts, dolls, and the like. The victory was moot, however. Shortly after winning his battle, he retired the strip anyway.
