معرفی کتاب «Bangladesh, India and Pakistan: International Relations and Regional Tensions in South Asia (International Political Economy Series)» نوشتهٔ Kathryn Jacques (auth.)، منتشرشده توسط نشر International Political Econom در سال 2000. این کتاب در 8 صفحه، فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.
This book provides a broad, analytical study of Bangladesh's relationship with India and Pakistan between 1975 and 1990. Bangladesh's role in South Asian international relations has tended to be overlooked and underestimated. The book reveals the complexity of the relationship between Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan and challenges the biased and stereotypical views often encountered regarding Bangladesh's foreign policy. Considerable contemporary evidence is interpreted from a variety of perspectives: domestic, regional, and extra-regional. The evidence is then used to assess the relative significance of these perspectives. This invaluable resource discusses the current revolution in stem cell-based drugs and their potential use in clinical applications. Each chapter is contributed by a pre-eminent scientist in the field. An introductory section presents current stem cell drugs and stem cell-based products and a discussion of production, quality control, mechanisms, and efficacy. Following sections include discussions on stem cell-derived microvesicles based products, and derived exosomes based products. Stem Cell Drugs - A New Generation of Biopharmaceuticals and the other books in the Stem Cells in Clinical Applications series are invaluable to scientists, researchers, advanced students and clinicians working in stem cells, regenerative medicine or tissue engineering. This groundbreaking volume is also essential reading for those researching or studying drug development or pharmaceutical science. Jacques (School of Classics, History, and Religion at the U. of New England, Australia) explores the nature of Bangladesh's international relations with the two powerful (and antagonistic to each other) South Asian states of India and Pakistan. Arguing that previous discussions of the topic have been one sided, she explores the domestic and external pressures that have shaped Bangladeshi foreign policy. She finds that the most important factors are the Indo-Pakistani rivalry and the fact that Bangladesh has had to extract itself from a colonial relationship twice in the in its five decade history, first from Britain and then from Pakistan. "The book provides a broad, analytical study of Bangladesh's relationship with India and Pakistan between 1975 and 1990. This period was largely one of military rule in Bangladesh, spanning the regimes of Ziaur Rahman (1975-81) and Hussain Muhammad Ershad (1982-90). Bangladesh's role in South Asian international relations has tended to be overlooked or underestimated. Biased and stereotypical views also abound where Bangladesh is concerned, partly due to the prevalence of bias and censorship found in the contemporary media."--Jacket
