Bexhill Girls' School, the late 1950s: Corporal punishment with the cane, tawse, paddle, and hairbrush is still in regular use at this boarding establishment, sometimes with predictable effects on those who receive it, sometimes with rather more bizarre results amongst both pupils and staff.
