I haven't met Hedi before. We know each other's work though. I remember the first pictures of your atelier at Dior, with a black box on a parquet floor. That was very early on, your first publicity with Dior, and I thought it was great. I was still close to Dior because of John Galliano. When John started at Dior, he wanted to work with Nick Knight. I was art director for his first season. We tried to do something to please John, who was having a craze at the time about Boldini, a 19th century society portrait painter.
