معرفی کتاب «Applications of remote sensing in agriculture : [proceedings of the 48th Easter School in Agricultural Science held at University of Nottingham from 3rd - 7th April 1989» نوشتهٔ M. D. Steven and J. A. Clark (Eds.)، منتشرشده توسط نشر Butterworth-Heinemann در سال 1990. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.

Agricultural remote sensing has an enormous potential impact on agribusiness and the international commodity trade through the development of systems to monitor crops and yields on the national and international scale. This volume reviews the achievements of remote sensing in agriculture, establishes the current state-of-the-art and looks at future developments. The following themes are addressed - opportunities for remote sensing, principles of remote sensing as applied to agriculture, including logistic considerations and fundamental spectral characteristics of vegetation, the estimation of biomass and productivity, effects of stress and its detection, discrimination and monitoring and new techniques in applying remote sensing Content: Proceedings of Previous Easter Schools in Agricultural Science, published by Butterworths, London , Page ii Front Matter , Page iii Copyright , Page iv PREFACE , Pages v-vi , M.D. Steven, J.A. The meeting invites 146 delegates from over 22 countries and contributions to this book come from nine countries. This book generally presents a review of the achievements of remote sensing in agriculture, establishes the state of the art, and gives pointers to developments. This text is organized into seven parts, wherein Parts I-III cover the principles of remote sensing, climate, soil, land classification, and crop inventories. Productivity; stress; techniques for agricultural applications; and opportunities, progress, and prospects in the field of remote sensing in agriculture are also discussed. Anais do 48th Easter School in Agricultural Science realizado na University of Nottingham de 3-7 abril de 1989 compreendendo princípios de sensoriamento remoto aplicado à agricultura, clima e solo, classificação de uso e cobertura das terras e inventários de colheitas, produtividade, fitopatologia e stress de culturas agrícolas, outras técnicas de monitoramento da agricultura, pesquisa relacionada às oportunidades, progresso e prospecção do sensoriamento remoto aplicado à agricultura Applies the principles of remote sensing for use in land classification and crop inventories, detecting diseases and water status, measuring climatic conditions and mapping variations in soil. It looks to future developments as well as reviewing the achievements of the past.
