Analysis of the mixture of concentrations of NaCl solutions in a cross-type pipe joint. (For hydraulic modeling of drinking water distribution networks)

Research thesis to be applied as a complement to hydraulic modeling programs for water distribution networks. This document contains a basic compilation of the state of the art in the evaluation of the mixture of waters with different or equal concentrations of a solute, which allows establishing an approach to the mixing process in pipe crossings, as well as a methodological proposal based on a Physical model developed for this project, which relates the current theory of complete and partial mixing, to determine the concentration of the solute in the outlet pipes of the junctions in drinking water distribution networks.
