Aizen-Mandaras, the dogmatic background of the notion of "love" or "lust" is explained and a historical and sociolo- gical survey of the belief in Aizen in East Asia is given, followed by an explanation of Aizen's function in heterodox speculations, especially of the Tachikawa sect.
