معرفی کتاب «Advances in Case-Based Reasoning: Second European Workshop, EWCBR-94, Chantilly, France, November 7 - 10, 1994. Selected Papers (Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 984)» نوشتهٔ Eva Armengol, Enric Plaza (auth.), Jean-Paul Haton, Mark Keane, Michel Manago (eds.)، منتشرشده توسط نشر Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg در سال 1995. این کتاب در فرمت djvu، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.

This book presents a selection of revised refereed papers taken from the contributions to the Second European Workshop on Case-Based Reasoning, EWCBR-94, held at the Abbaye de Royaumont near Paris in November 1994. The 22 papers included were chosen from a total of 60 submissions. The important evolution by experienced artificial intelligence during the last few years has been essentially influenced by case-based reasoning, particularly by the area of knowledge-based decision support. This book documents the progress achieved in CBR methods and tools during the very recent past. It also outlines the substantial success achieved in the applications domain, especially in the fields of architecture and computer-aided design, task planning, chemical synthesis, maintenance and diagnosis, and law. Integrating induction in a case-based reasoner....Pages 2-17 Integrating induction and case-based reasoning: Methodological approach and first evaluations....Pages 18-32 Experimental study of an evaluation function for cases imperfectly explained....Pages 33-44 Reasoning with cases imperfectly described and explained....Pages 45-59 Interacting learning-goals: Treating learning as a planning task....Pages 60-74 On the limitations of Memory Based Reasoning....Pages 75-86 A criterion of comparison between two case bases....Pages 87-100 An average predictive accuracy of the nearest neighbor classifier....Pages 101-112 Case-based reasoning for multi-step problems and its integration with heuristic search....Pages 113-125 Qualitative models as a basis for case indices....Pages 126-135 Using gestalten to retrieve cases....Pages 136-150 A comparison of incremental case-based reasoning and inductive learning....Pages 151-164 Examples and remindings in a case-based help system....Pages 165-177 A CBR knowledge representation for practical ethics....Pages 180-197 Case-based spatial design reasoning....Pages 198-210 Case-based support for the design of dynamic system requirements....Pages 211-225 A maintenance approach to case based reasoning....Pages 226-239 Case-based evaluation in computer chess....Pages 240-254 Design of a case-based reasoning system applied to neuropathy diagnosis....Pages 255-265 Controlling a nonlinear hierarchical planner using case replay....Pages 266-279 A classification system for credit card transactions....Pages 280-291 Use of case-based reasoning in the domain of building regulations....Pages 292-306 This subseries of Lecture Notes in Computer Science reports new developments in artificial intelligence research and teaching, quickly, informally, and at a high level. The timeliness of a manuscript is more important than its form, which may be unfinished or tentative. The type of material considered for publication includes drafts of original papers or monographs, technical reports of high quality and broad interest, advanced-level lectures, reports of meetings, provided they are of exceptional interest and focused on a single topic. Publication of Lecture Notes is intended as a service to the computer science community in that the publisher Springer-Verlag offers global distribution of documents which would otherwise have a restricted readership. Once published and copyrighted, they can be cited in the scientific literature.
