The book is a compilation of Max Planck's essays based on an original German collection from 1922, published as 'Physikalische rundblicke. Gesammelte reden und aufsätze'. The first edition of the English version was originally published in 1925 as 'A Survey of Physics', and reprinted by Dover since 1960 under the title 'A Survey of Physical Theory'. The edition on which the source scan is based is not dated, and subsequent to 1960.
