Professor Vladimir Alexandrov, D. Sc.(Hist.), an eminent Soviet scholar, is head of department at the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU. He is a prominent specialist on the contemporary history and international affairs, and the author of the fundamental research work Lenin and the Comintem (1972, in Russian). The other works to which he has contributed or has edited include International Affairs Today and the USSR's Foreign Policy (1983, in Russian), and Leninist Foreign Policy and the Development of International Relations (1983, in Russian).
