1985: An escape from Orwell's 1984 : a conservative path of freedom

Our people are well aware that the British way of life and the very survival of the free society in Britain are increasingly under attack. We are probably heading for a major economic and political crash, the reaction to which will be decisive for our future. This crisis has arisen not just because of the force of the attacks of the Left but because of the weakness and compromises of the Right. Revolutions are not made by the insurgents who climb the walls but by those on the battlements who lack the confidence or will to pour burning oil upon their attackers. This is certainly the case in present-day Britain.
